Student Comments:
I have been practicing Qigong for 6 years now. Jennifer is a great Sifu who attends to us individually in class. Her TaiSigong, Master Tse, also comes to New Zealand every year and gives extra seminars. I have learned so much from them both over the years. The main benefit I get is relaxation and stress relief. There are numerous health benefits too, but generally I am pretty healthy anyway, so I guess something is working. -Dr. Cormac Fitzgerald April 2016

Lovely poem by Hawke's Bay student Bethne Gardner captures the values and benefits of practicing Wild Goose Qigong
For Sifu Jennifer Where yin meets yang and hot meets cold where soft meets hard and young meets old. Life needs a balance a wise set of scales a point of communion to live without ails. Qigong is a study of balance and grace it works our life-force at a personal pace. Working our qi into relaxation we breathe and move in meditation. We practise this art with intentions sincere strong legs grounded hearts of good cheer. As I grow greyer and desire to be wise I need a strong body to match twinkling eyes. I honour this practise and bow to my Sifu and to those before her so venerably true. Bethne Gardner 21/5/14 |
This poem for the Tse Centre 25th Anniversary captures the meditative aspect of Qigong - I like to call it:
Connected Crisp air Body aligned Mind aware Body aligned Feet, on the ground Silent mind Feel the breath Connected Stillness continues Centredness Body aligned Mind aware Silent mind Body moves Energy flows Connected Qigong seems to have called to me through the noise, I feel blessed that we have discovered each other, I feel free to utilise it, I feel supported and accepted as I am free to flow in my learning. Qigong supports the way I choose to live, it supports my daily life and my long term aspirations. Qigong is patient, kind, compassion and acceptance...... Thanks ano Sifu! Coline Hape January 2015 |
NZ Instructor Course - March 2015
5 Hawke's Bay students attended the Tse Centre Instructor Course held on the Kapiti Coast. Students learned heaps and had their work checked over by several senior instructors. By preparing for this day, they really deepened their Qigong practice and by attending, they challenged themselves - finding out they got what it takes to begin instructing.
Check out this YouTube Video of the Course
It is only after three year's study that a student can be nominated to attend a Tse Qigong Centre Instructor Course. This nomination comes from a student's Sifu (teacher) who has determined not only that this person has a good level of skill, but also that they have a good heart and are loyal. It is these last two things that are considered the most important because without a good heart and loyalty, any skill will be limited and will eventually even diminish.
